Hudson received a special card today from Grandma and Grandpa. This is one of those special things that Grandma and Grandpa do for their little buddy (as well as for Sam and I).
For each holiday (including the odd holidays), and even on some random days we will venture out to the mailbox and discover a special card which usually contains a little money for a little treat - often enough for a fun trip to DQ, or even a nice dinner out.
Hudson was VERY excited to get some mail from Grandma and Grandpa. He is definitely ready to have them back and misses them terribly. I have kept each card and I usually keep the money in the card and plan to give to Hudson when he gets older and understands the sentimental nature of the gesture. Just like Sam and I, Hudson will will be excited each time he sees a colorful card in the stack of bills!
